Night before last the world, together, was given a renewed
sense of hope.

It doesn't matter where you're from, what you believe in,
who you voted for as an American. Some moments bring the
world together and that was one of them.

I personally don't agree with all of Obama's policies, but
I agree with the message he gave the world in his acceptance
speech: peace, liberty, and hope for the future ...

Those are ideas we can *all* get behind.

What really makes me hopeful is that I live in a time where
great information from true visionaries can make its way
to so many people - all through the power of technology.

All Souls Day

All Souls Day

This weekend many people celebrate All souls day.

I use to love this celebration. Growing up in little village in the middle of Karpaty mountains, I loved to go to cemetery with my grad mom and keep the graves nice, put flowers and burn candles.

Especially on All Souls Day.

The graves were covered with flowers and light of candles. In the evening when I was walking towards the cemetery and I looked at the Cross in front of the church, I could see the light from all of the candles creating like a halo above the cross. It was so mesmerizing.

I remember walking towards cemetery with my parents, brother and many neighbors in snow. The cemetery was always full with people burning candles on graves of family and friends sending some love and prayers. I loved to feel this connection, but father could not wait to get out. I never understood it.

And then my Grandpa past and 6 months latter my Father. I suddenly understood why my Father did not want to spend any time at the cemetery. I felt my grandpa and my father were always around me until I went to cemetery and saw their graves. The graves were reminders that they are gone.

Since my Grandpa and my father past 19 years ago a lot of friends and family members crossed over. I used to say that I have more friends on other side that I have here.

Since I moved to USA 12 years ago I did not have an opportunity to visit on All souls Day.

I miss it. I miss the mix of energies of love, appreciation, pain and hope.

It is a beautiful holiday.

To all the souls on “the other side”: I love you.

I went to see James Arthur Ray today.

I know of James for a few years, met him personally once before, know his story and follow his teachings.

His Harmonic Wealth presentation was exceptional, inspiring and eye opening. He is so funny and strait on, gets you to think and will not take any excuses. He will tell you as it is and hits right where it matters.

Any body who make decision to take his/her life in his/her own hands should know him.

I went to see him after presentation, stood in long line of people who wanted take picture, get book sighed. I went there to Thank him and of course to take a picture with him. When I got to him, my voice was shaking and I barley can make any noise.
I thanked him for the person he is and the way he is helping and inspiring millions of people. I thanked him from bottom of my heart.

And then he spoke…… If he smacked me across the face, kicked me and punch me in a stomach, I would not be more shocked as I was when I listen him to say:

‘You know, I am just a reflection of you,

You learned that tonight”

Here I am -- standing in front of man I greatly respect and adore, man who inspire millions to live harmonic healthy life and he is telling me he is my reflection?

I felt like time stopped, my brain failed to think and I gave him a stare. Eventually, I picked my marbles and managed to take a picture. You can see how surprised I look))

It was a life altering moment for me. His words deeply affected me on many levels.

It was like a lighting bolt went though me. Suddenly I felt strong.

Thank you James,

The Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in New York with profound sadness has the honor to inform of a tragic traffic accident of a bus that occurred near the city of Gospicin the Republic of Croatia on Sunday September 7, 2008 around 6 o’clock in the morning. The accident claimed the lives of at least fourteen Slovak citizens.

The Government of the Slovak Republic has declared a 24-hour period of national mourning, commencing at 12.00 noon Central European Time on Tuesday September 9, 2008 and ending at 12.00 noon Central European Time on Wednesday September 10, 2008.

A book of condolence will be available for signing at the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic, 801 Second Avenue (between 42nd and 43rd Street), 12 Floor, New York, NY 10017 on Tuesday September 9, 2008 from 3.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. and on Wednesday September 10, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Randy's "Last Lecture"

My friends,
We all learned today that Randy Pausch crossed over today of complications from pancreatic cancer at age 47 .

If for some reason you do not know who Randy is , I urge you to watch this video.

This is the famous “Last Lecture”, delivered at Carnegie Mellon on Sept. 18, 2007; a few weeks after Pausch learned he had just months to live.

I watched this video on Youtube and I cried. What an incredible outlook on imminent departure with the fortitude of his spirit. The power of his message that had to be said.

Please let your kids to watch it. This is the best lecture they will ever attend.

2 years since Katrina blew

My beloved friends,

Two years since Katrina run over New Orleans and Gulf coast. At that time I was working for a drug testing company and my clients were mainly in Louisiana and Alabama. They were not just my clients- they were and still are my friends.

I remember to watch in horror what was going on. Physically I was safe in my little office in PA but in my heart was with my friends in that horror. I was praying day and night for any phone call any news from my friends, feeling helpless. I knew the best thing for me is just be there when phone call arrives because for almost two full months I was only one they can reach. I was very worried my clients will slip back to substance dependency.

I listen one heart braking story after another and all I could do is to listen.

Now 2 years later I do not work for that company and lost contact with some of my friends but I never stop thinking of them and never stop praying for them.

Then and today I want to say from a bottom of my heart- I am proud of you and I love you.

Here is to you – everyone who Katrina and Rita touched – directly or indirectly, in USA or outside. I know there is a lot of untold stories, but right now I want to tell you- you are not alone- never were and never will be.

Please take a minute to send your love and prayers to friends affected by Katrina , Rita or any other Hurricane. I know they need YOU.

Positive vs. negative thinking

Dear Friends,
For me it comes to one thing – Free will. How many times something “bad” happened to you what turned out to be the best thing what could ever happen at that point of time?
I believe that sometimes you need to get upset, you need the negative feeling to be able to know and appreciate the positive one. Now what Exactly is a positive and what is a negative thinking? I came across of different descriptions from different people – meaning what is a positive thinking for one person does not necessarily is a positive for a second one.
In one book long time ago ( I apologize to the author of this quote but forgot his name) I read “ If you think that you need to be positive all the time just to your car and unplug the negative plug from your car battery. How far will you go? “

People who know me say that I am very loving, peaceful and patient person. Every time I would think something negative I fell ashamed of that. I worried that I will hurt someone felling. I had no right to judge, I felt like horrible person. So I dismissed all negative. You know what I ended up with? With Low self confidence and High blood pressure.

Coming back what I said on start- Free will.
I think it is ok sometimes to get upset – then try to figure out what really cause it and what steps you need to take to heal this.

I think we should not try hard to dismiss our negative thoughts, because finding the underling reason for the negative thoughts and healing them will get us to the place where we will be happy and in harmony. Place where we actually appreciate when the negative thought will come.

I love the move “ The Secret” and think everyone should see it. But also believe it is just a start- there is so much more to be said.

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic
last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is
rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend
a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man
who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student,
balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting
his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same
spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions
that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through
the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this
moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week,
this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us,

We all know that we need to stay positive and think happy thoughts but sometimes it is almost impossible. I am a big believer in “law of attraction” however I have my moments to. …….I feel low, lost and helpless……and I feel guilty for feeling that way when I know I should control my thoughts. Well, easer said that done.

I had one of “my moments” again this Sunday. I just could not shake this feelings of helplessness again. Whatever I did was not working.
And then I got an email from Dr. Joe Vitale (Author of way too many books to mention, including the bestsellers "The Attractor Factor ) directing me to read his latest blog post.
